South Sydney junior who debuted for the Rabbitohs in 1989 and had stints at Canterbury and Western Suburbs, where he released early in the 1994 season to join the Panthers.

Brown would only make three appearances for his new club that season but would return to make 17 appearances in 1995. He would become a regular selection in the forward pack, playing primarily in the second row or at lock. Brown missed six matches to suspension in 1996 after being part of a spiteful brawl against Western Suburbs in 1996.

His ball playing abilities were in some way rewarded by being selected at halfback for one match in his final season in 1998 in response to a horror injury toll that at its height had 11 first grade players on the sidelines.

Brown would play three seasons for Salford in the English Super League before retiring at the end of the 2001 season.
