Wagga Wagga born forward who had played nearly 60 matches across five seasons at the Sydney Roosters and Canberra before arriving at Penrith in 2010.
Injury restricted him to four appearances in his first season at Penrith but would a make more regular appearances in the following seasons, alternating between the front row, second row and lock, and continuing the reputation he had already had earnt with being a hard hitter in both attack and defence.
From 2013 to 2015, he formed a formidable second row partnership with team mate Adam Docker and christened as the “Bash Brothers”.
After playing his 150th NRL match late in the 2015 season, Plum announced his retirement, effective immediately, citing repeated concussions as the primary reason.
