The Raiders posted the first points to lead 6-0 after 9 minutes.

The lead was further extended soon after when Sean O’Sullivan, whilst off-balance, stabbed a grubber kick into the in goal and Crichton winning the race to the in goal to ground it. He converted his own try from near the sideline to make it 14-6, which remained so until the half time break, even with 12 players when James Fisher-Harris copped a sin bin for a high shot.

A chain of passes to the left edge started a movement just inside their half, with Scott Sorensen breaking through the line, who then passed back inside and finished with Dylan Edwards looming in support to score a try in his milestone 100th match for the Panthers.

Up 20-6, the Panthers finished off the contest with 15 minutes remaining when Jaeman Salmon ran the ball on the last tackle and sliced through the defence from 10 metres out to score, and Crichton’s fifth conversion stretching it out to a 20 point lead, and would remain the last score for the match.
