Tamworth junior who was recruited by the Panthers, starting in third grade in 1973.
He made his first grade debut in Round 5 of the 1975 season, coming on as a replacement versus Canterbury at Belmore Sports Ground. The following week, he made his starting debut, in the second row versus Eastern Suburbs. In total, he made 12 first grade appearances throughout 1975, mostly in the lock forward position.
He began the 1976 season as the starting lock, playing in the first four matches [rounds 5 to 12] before returning for one match in Round 13. In 1979, he made a return to first grade, playing in seven of the first eight premiership matches, but would be his final matches in the top grade.
