St. Mary’s junior who first played for Penrith in the Jersey Flegg (Under 19s) competition in 1970 before graduating to third grade in 1972.
He made his first grade debut in Round 4 of the 1977 season, starting in the second row versus South Sydney at Redfern Oval. The following week he came on as a replacement versus Western Suburbs at Penrith Park.
In 1982, he joined the Canberra Raiders and made 16 appearances in their inaugural season.
