The home team held a 4-0 lead after as many minutes before a try to centre Ben Pomeroy made it 4-all after 22 minutes.
However, a converted try to Warriors on the stroke of half time gave them a 10-4 lead at the break.
The Panthers were first to score after the resumption, when Rhys Wesser dived over from dummy half, and Preston Campbell’s conversion leveling it up again.
The Warriors pulled ahead again to lead 14-10 with 17 minutes to go.
Three minutes later, Luke Priddis from dummy half kicked ahead 30 metres out, regathered it on the bounce and stepped past the defending fullback to touch down under the posts, to make it 14-all. Campbell’s conversion from in front gave the Panthers the lead for the first time, and it was a lead they hung on to bank the two premiership points in a tight and fiercely contested battle.
