Canberra led 6-0 after 10 minutes, however eight minutes later it was level when Michael Jennings scored off a set scrum play, with Jarrod Sammut adding the extras.
In the 26th minute, the visitors pulled further ahead when Trent Waterhouse busted the line wide open, and found Geoff Daniela in support to sprint away and touch down, with Sammut’s conversion making it 12-6 leading into half time.
After a scoreless period for most of the second half, the Raiders were next to score to make it 12-10 with only six minutes remaining, however it remained unconverted to retain the two point lead.
The Panthers secured the two competition points on the Panthers first set after the restart when Daniela was over for a second, latching on to a Luke Walsh kick to score, with Sammut’s conversion providing a greater than a converted try buffer.
