Fullback Rod McNeill landed four penalty conversions throughout the first half to have the visitors lead 8-0 at half time.
This was further extended to 10-0 in the 62nd minute with a fifth penalty conversion.
Six minutes later, second row forward John Cartwright slipped a well timed off load through to front row forward Matt Goodwin and then sent Brad Izzard over the try line.
In the last few minutes, the Panthers put the icing on the cake when halfback Greg Alexander touched down, and McNeill’s seventh conversion completing a 22-0 shut out over the defending premiers.
