He made his first-grade debut with Balmain in 1958 and after stints with Western Suburbs and South Sydney he signed with then second division team Penrith for the 1964 season.
He was selected at fullback in Penrith’s first ever premiership match versus Canterbury at Belmore Oval. In total, he would make 6 appearances in the 1967 season, including in the final round where he was selected in the forwards. In 1968, he would once again be a regular in the first-grade side, making 12 appearances and crossing for 2 tries and kicking 1 goal. He would retire at the end of the season.
