WINS | [1994] Round 2: Penrith 8 St. George 6

Sunday 20th Mach at Jubilee Oval

Penrith 8 – Tries: Bell (1), Carter (1) | St. George 6

Steve Carter posted the first points when he spotted a gap on the left edge and dissected through to score in the left corner.

Soon after, a well-timed grubber kick from Greg Alexander into the left corner and Mark Bell won the race to the ball to touch down, with Penrith holding an 8-0 lead after 22 minutes, and remained so until half time.

Although the Dragons struck back in the second half with a converted try to reduce it to 8-6, however the Panthers held on to record only their second win in 21 matches at Kogarah, and their first since 1982.
