Member of the Australian Schoolboys team in the late 1970s before playing in the Brisbane competition.
In 1982 he came to Sydney and signed with the Panthers, and made his first grade debut in the opening round match versus newcomers Illawarra as the starting halfback and kicking four conversions in their 17-7 win. He would make 16 appearances up until Round 21, mostly as the starting halfback and posted 51 points from 2 tries and 22 goals.
In 1983 he played the majority of the season in reserve grade, making four appearances late in the season mostly as the starting fullback.
He would return to Brisbane, playing out his career in the Brisbane competition for Brothers and Eastern Suburbs.
