Club debutant Luke Walsh opened the scoring after 7 minutes when he backed up to Trent Waterhouse and crossed under the posts.
Four minutes later Lachlan Coote was over, with Michael Gordon’s second conversion making it 12-0.
The Titans struck back with their first try to make it 12-4, before two quickfire tries to replacement Jarrod Sammut in the shadows of half time pushed out the Panthers lead to 22-4 – the first was provided by Walsh, whilst the second was an individual effort with a chip and chase from dummy half on the last tackle.
The visitors scored the first two tries of the second half to reduce it to an eight point margin, before Penrith extended their advantage again when Michael Jennings scored a solo 45 metre try when he raced out of dummy half with 15 minutes remaining.
A 90 metre intercept try soon after to Shane Elford sealed the win for the Panthers, with a late consolation try to the Titans only reducing the Panthers winning margin.
