James Segeyaro broke the line from dummy half 35 metres out to open the scoring inside the first six minutes, with Jamie Soward’s conversion making it 6-0.
The Titans soon equalised through a try, and a penalty conversion had them hold an 8-6 lead.
After 29 minutes, a well timed pass saw Tyrone Peachey hit a gap and a chain of passes to the right found an unmarked Lewis Brown on the edge to score under the posts. A Soward penalty conversion on the stoke of half time had the visitors lead 14-8 at the break.
Soon after the resumption, a loose pass from the Titans was scooped up by Isaah Yeo, who managed to bust the line and ran 20 metres to cross for the first points of the second half to make it 18-8.
Penrith’s lead was pushed further out when Peachey picked up a ricocheted kick from the Titans and ran 85 metres untouched to score in the left corner, with Soward’s sideline conversion making it 24-8 after 66 minutes.
A converted try to the Titans reduced the advantage to 10 points, however in the dying minutes Soward found a yawning gap in the defence on the halfway line and streaked 50 metres untouched to plant it under the uprights, and another long range try to Matt Moylan on the stroke of full time blew out the final score to 36-14.
