Sele made his club debut for the Panthers in the opening round versus Parramatta, starting in the second row. Despite suffering an arm injury, he would play on into the first five matches of the season, also at lock and coming off the bench. He would then be dropped back to the NSW Cup. Despite being named in a number of extended squads later in the season, he was not been able to make a return to the top 17 and was released at the end of the season.
