Penrith Brothers junior who made his first grade debut for the Panthers in the opening round of the 1987 season, coming off the bench in their win over Western Suburbs. He would make five first grade appearances in his rookie season, all off the bench and would culminate in being a part of the reserve grade premiership winning squad.
He would not get selected in first grade at all in 1988, making a return a year later, making 8 appearances including three as a starting rower, and playing also in both of Penrith’s finals series matches.
Seeking more opportunities in first grade, he joined South Sydney in 1990. He would become one of the game’s premier forwards during the 1990s, enjoying premiership success later with Manly as well as a number of representative appearances for both New South Wales and Australia. After retiring at the end of the 1999 season, he has pursued a number of careers in business as well as recently playing a role in the rugby league media.
