Kiama junior who made his NRL debut with St. George Illawarra in 2011. After 133 matches across 6 seasons with the Dragons, the Country representative hooker was signed by the Panthers for the 2017 season.

After starting the season in the NSW Cup, he earned a call up to first grade in June when first choice hooker Peter Wallace suffered an injury. He started at hooker in his NRL debut for the Panthers against the Bulldogs and crossing for two tries in their 38-0 demolition at ANZ Stadium. He would make a total of five NRL appearances in 2017 before making way for the returning Peter Wallace in July. Rein would finish the 2017 season as a premiership winner with the NSW Cup team and be awarded the club’s NSW Cup player of the year on the Merv Cartwright Medal night.

Despite signing a two-year deal with Penrith, he was seen as the third-choice hooker heading into the 2018 season and was released by the Panthers, joining the Gold Coast Titans. After four seasons at the Titans, he was released at the end of 2021. He signed with Parramatta in 2022 and is currently contracted until the end of the 2023 season…..
