The Panthers opened the scoring after 16 minutes when Rhys Wesser scored, and Preston Campbell’s conversion had the home team up 6-0. Nine minutes later, Penrith had tripled their lead with tries to Luke Priddis and Paul Whatuira, both of these converted by Campbell.

The Cowboys pegged back the advantage with a converted try soon after to have it at 18-6 at half time.

Three minutes after the resumption Frank Pritchard scored the first of seven unanswered second half tries – Wesser completed a hat trick with two more, Whatuira scored a second for a double and Campbell, Luke Lewis and Luke Rooney also crossed the stripe for the Panthers, as the Panthers passed 50 points at home for the second consecutive week and posted their third biggest ever win.
