Penrith led 2-0 after 5 minutes, and three tries in an eleven minute period to Michael Gordon, Frank Pritchard and Luke Rooney had the Panthers up 18-0 after 27 minutes.

Whilst the Warriors scored a converted try with five minutes remaining, the home team would hold a 22-6 half time lead when Michael Jennings crossed with less than 2 minutes remaining.

A cluster of three more tries in a 10 minute period, with Gordon and Jennings completing doubles and a try also to Trent Waterhouse saw Penrith hold a comfortable 40-6 lead after 54 minutes.

The Warriors would be next to score with back to back tries but the Panthers still held a four converted try lead with only four minutes remaining, and soon after a second to Jennings stretched it to a 30 point lead at 46-16 – Gordon’s seventh conversion, along with the two tries would give him with an individual haul of 22 points.

The final points would be scored by the visitors with an unconverted try to leave it at 46-22 at full time.
