Starting the season for feeder team Windsor in the NSW Cup, the front row forward he made his NRL debut in their upset win over Melbourne at Centrebet Stadium in May, coming off the bench. Anderson would make two more appearances in 2013, all off the bench.

Selected in the 2014 NRL squad, he would make three appearances, in the final two premiership rounds and then in the qualifying final against the Roosters in week one of the finals. Weeks later, he would play a part in the Panthers NSW Cup premiership and was named in the NSW Cup team of the year.

Appointed the NSW Cup captain in 2015, he would make just the solitary NRL appearance that year.

At season’s end, he would leave the Panthers and signed with the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Queensland Cup. In his three years, he was one of the competition’s premier players, and led them to premiership glory in 2018.

In 2019, he returned to Maitland to play for the Pickers in the Newcastle competition, and has since played three seasons at the club to the end of 2022.
