Dual international who debuted with Newcastle in 1999 and later at Parramatta before switching to rugby union in 2008 for two seasons before returning to rugby league at the Eels in 2010. Tahu was granted a release from Parramatta after just one season and soon after was signed by the Panthers for a one year deal spanning the 2011 season.
Being heralded as a marquee signing given his background, his club debut was at starting centre in Round 3 against Cronulla at home in their heavy 44-12 loss. Making six more appearances where he either started as centre or off the bench, and crossing for three tries, he suffered a season ending pectoral injury in Round 10.
However, soon after it was announced that he would return to Newcastle for the 2012 season, playing for three seasons before retiring at the end of the 2014 season.
