Blacktown junior who was graded in 1969 and made his first grade debut as a replacement early in the 1972 season, coming on as a replacement and kicking 4 goals in the 41-22 loss to North Sydney. He would make 5 more appearances, scoring 1 try and 15 goals for 33 points.
He would make 9 appearances in 1973.
In 1974, his 136 points from 4 tries and 62 goals made Walton the club’s top point scorer. This was from 18 matches where he alternated between fullback and wing throughout the season.
However, he would only make 7 more appearances spread out across the next three seasons with his last first grade appearance being in the penultimate round of the 1977 season.
At the time, his 224 points in first grade would make him second only to Bob Landers in terms of the highest point scorer of all time for Penrith.
