New Zealand born forward who was a member of the victorious 2015 Under 20s premiership winning squad before graduating to the NSW Cup squad in 2016, and then the NRL squad for 2017.

He made his first grade debut against Newcastle early in the 2017 season, scoring a try in the Panthers 40-0 demolition of the Knights. Harawira-Neara would manage to retain his spot in the 17 throughout the season, making 22 appearances, including a number as the starting second rower. His performances would see him awarded the Ben Alexander Rookie of the Year award at season’s end.

2018 saw him continue to cement himself as a mainstay in the Penrith forward pack, alternating between the second row and bench, as well as occasionally appearing in the centres. He would be named in the New Zealand squad for the end of season Test matches however he would miss out on making his Kiwis debut.

He would be granted a release at the end of the 2018 season and signed on with Canterbury for 2019.

He was suspended then sacked by the Bulldogs in early 2020 for an off-field incident, which led to his de-registration from the NRL. Upon appeal, the decision was reversed but sought a release and signed with Canberra, and is contracted until the end of the 2025 season.
