Test forward who had played nine seasons at Parramatta before arriving at Penrith in 1976.
the burly front rower, known as ‘The Bear’ provided some additional class to the Panthers forward pack, playing 20 of the 22 matches in his first season, including four as captain later in the season.
However, injury would restrict him to just 10 appearances in 1977.
He would leave the Panthers at the end of the season, playing two seasons at Eastern Suburbs before returning back to Parramatta to play out his career.
