Younger brother of Grahame, he also made the move down from Taree, making his first grade debut for the Panthers in 1969.
Alternating between wing and centre, Moran would provide good service to the club in the early seventies, making his 50th and final first grade appearance in 1973.
He would head east to Parramatta, where he would be a member of their first ever grand final team in 1976 before retiring at the end of the 1977 season.
