PLAYERS | Graeme Jennings

Panther 171

57 matches [1979-1983]

154 points [16 tries, 49 goals, 2 field goals]

A member of the premiership winning Under23s team in 1978, he would make his first grade debut for the Panthers in 1979, playing the solitary match off the bench later in the season.

Over the next five seasons, Jennings would become one of the Panthers most ever versatile players. In his first full season in 1980, he alternated between fullback, wing and centre, as well as one match at lock.

The next season he played one match at halfback and would later make a number of appearances at five-eighth, but in later seasons would play predominantly in the second row and at lock.

Jennings was also a noted goal kicker, slotting 30 conversions in the 1980 season.

Jennings would leave the Panthers at the end of the 1983 season, spending two seasons at North Sydney then one at Western Suburbs before heading to England. He retired in 1987 after his stint at Hunslet.

He has stayed in the game post retirement, recently coaching the Forster-Tuncurry Hawks in the Group 3 competition.
