Wellington born forward who debuted for the Melbourne Storm in 2007, and making his Test debut for New Zealand the following year.
He arrived at the Panthers in 2013 as a premiership winner after the Storm won the 2012 decider.
Recruited on the basis of providing extra aggression to the Panthers forward pack, Manu played 20 matches in his first season at Penrith, all in the second row.
Having been selected for Tonga in the 2013 World Cup, he sustained a shoulder injury during the tournament that delayed his return for the Panthers until Round 4 in the 2014 season. He would play every match from that point, including the qualifying final and preliminary final.
He would make 17 appearances in 2015, in which would be his final season at the Panthers. He would join Hull FC in the English Super League, where he would play for four seasons before he retired at the end of the 2019 season.
