Halfback who made his first-grade debut at Penrith early in the 1983 season.

Clements would continue to become a regular selection in the Panthers first grade team throughout the 1980s, being used primarily as a bench forward in 1984 and 1985 seasons, and then later as a starting five-eighth. His final season in first grade was in 1989, where he would play the solitary match at halfback.

After his departure from Penrith, he was the premiership winning captain-coach for the Erina Eagles in the Central Coast competition in 1991, before heading out west to play at both Cowra in 1991 and Cootamundra in 1992, where upon he retired as a player. He has since become a club stalwart at the Cowra Magpies in a coaching capacity.
