Emu Plains junior who made his first grade debut for the Panthers midway through the 2002 season.
Primarily a centre, he would only play 5 NRL matches in his first 2 seasons, but by 2004 would become a regular member of the Panthers squad, playing 23 matches that year, including both finals.
At the end of the 2005 season, after 66 matches across 5 seasons, he left Penrith to go the Wests Tigers. After three seasons, he went to the Raiders in 2009.
At the end of the 2011 season, it was announced that Galea was returning to the Panthers, as part of a squad rebuild.
He would make 14 appearances in 2012, alternating between the bench and starting in the second row. In 2013, he was retained as part of the first grade squad, but unable to crack into the line up, he was given a mid-season release to Canterbury. He could not crack their NRL line up either, playing out the season in their NSW Cup team.
In 2015, he left for the English Super League, where he played two seasons for Widnes before retiring at the end of the 2015 season.
