Former first grader at a series of clubs from 1989 to 2001 who joined Penrith in 2005 in a coaching capacity, in both the lower grades as well as being assistant to Matthew Elliott.

Upon Elliott quitting the club in June 2011, he was elevated to the head coach role in a caretaker capacity. Whilst he performed the role admirably, his short term role was confirmed only a couple of rounds after taking the reins with the appointment of Ivan Cleary for 2012.

He later became an assistant at the Wests Tigers and Manly before returning to Penrith in 2016 as the NSW Cup coach. In 2017, he went to the Bulldogs as NSW Cup coach, and after being elevated to assistant in 2018 once again found himself as a NRL caretaker coach in the second half of 2020. In 2021, he went north to be an assistant NRL coach at North Queensland and would be the Greece coach for the 2022 rugby league World Cup.
